WMG डील के बाद Suno ने क्या बदला
बीते साल 2025 के अंत में Suno ने Warner Music Group के साथ lawsuit खत्म किया। उसी समय Suno ने अपनी Rights and Ownership पॉलिसी में बदलाव किए। इसका मकसद 2026 में stricter monetisation नियम लागू करना था।

पहली अपडेट में दो चीजें साफ की गईं
Free users: Free अकाउंट पर बनाए गए गाने commercial use के लिए नहीं थे और बाद में subscription लेने से भी यह नहीं बदलेगा। Suno ने कहा कि फ्री प्लान पर बनाए गए गाने सिर्फ नॉन-कमर्शियल इस्तेमाल के लिए हैं और उनसे पैसे नहीं कमाए जा सकते।
Paid users: Subscription के दौरान बनाए गए गाने commercially इस्तेमाल किए जा सकते हैं, जैसे streaming, downloads और sync deals। Suno ने यह भी कहा कि वह revenue share में हिस्सा नहीं लेगा, लेकिन एक लाइन ने सबको confuse कर दिया। पॉलिसी में लिखा था कि Paid users भी गानों के owner नहीं माने जाएंगे क्योंकि output Suno ने generate किया है। इसने Creators में panic फैला दिया।
Ownership को लेकर confusion
Creators ने इसे Suno की पहले की promise से पीछे हटने के तौर पर पढ़ा। उन्होंने सोचा कि paid subscription लेने पर भी गाने का ownership मिलेगा, लेकिन यह लाइन कह रही थी कि Suno ही गानों का owner रहेगा, भले ही commercial rights दिए जाएं।

Suno की clarification
कई सवालों के बाद Suno ने साफ किया कि Knowledge Base update में ownership सही से नहीं बताया गया। अब Suno कहता है Pro और Premier users आप ही output के owner हैं और commercial rights आपके पास हैं।
Basic users: Suno output का owner है और आप इसे सिर्फ non commercial use के लिए इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं। Knowledge Base को November 6 के version पर revert कर दिया गया। इसका मतलब है कि Ownership नियम असल में बदलें नहीं हैं।

Subscription cancel होने पर क्या होता है
यदि आप Pro या Premier subscription cancel करते हैं, तो क्या पहले बनाए गाने आपके रहते हैं? Suno के Terms of Service के अनुसार, subscription के दौरान बनाए गानों के Rights आपको मिलते हैं, भले ही बाद में plan खत्म हो जाए, लेकिन एक caveat है। Suno यह नहीं कह सकता कि copyright कानून के हिसाब से अधिकार पूरी तरह आपके होंगे। यह AI-generated works के legal grey area को दर्शाता है।
